Graham Pollett Tintype Collection

Page 1   Page 2

We need your help in identifying the people in the images below. These tintypes were donated to the MHA by Graham Pollett of St. John's, NL. He thinks the people in them could either be the Hopkins or Young families of Heart's Content, the Butlers from Trinity and Sibley's Cove or the Pollett family from New Harbour. All these communities are in Trinity Bay, NL.

The tintypes were found in the attic of a house in New Harbour. The house was owned by William Pollett from 1850-1920, and then by George and Isabelle Pollett of New Harbour from 1920 to 2010. The house is still standing today.

If you are able to identify any of these people we would appreciate you contacting us by sending us an email at mha@mun.ca.
