COVID - 19 Conference and Event Services

 

As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and in keeping with the university’s response, here is the latest update for both internal and external clients with events scheduled through Conference and Event Services over the coming weeks.

Signal Hill Campus (Emera Innovation Exchange Conference Centre and Johnson Geo Centre)

-All events from now until Tues. June 30 at the Emera Innovation Exchange Conference Centre are cancelled. Please check back for updates regarding bookings beyond this date as they will be evaluated as the situation evolves. -If you want to make a future booking (beyond June 30, 2020), staff will be taking them, but be advised as the situation evolves there is no guarantee it will proceed.

-The Conference and Event Services team are looking at how they can support future conferences and events virtually if the situation is prolonged. Please inquire via meet@mun.ca if this is something you and/or your group would like to explore.

-Members of the Conference and Events Services team will inform clients as updates become available.

-If a deposit was made on your booking or registrations have been taken/paid for, please rest assured that any cancelled events will be refunded through the Conference and Events Services unit.

St. John’s Campus

-All bookings through Conference and Event Services on St. John’s Campus are cancelled until Tues. June 30.

-Members of the Conference and Events Services team will inform clients as updates become available.
