As a resident enrolled in PGME at Memorial University you are a member of PARNL- Professional Association of Residents of Newfoundland and Labrador.

PARNL advocates for all members on matters concerning education, licensing, well-being and policies that affect residents. If you have any issues or concerns about your residency program - academic issues, grievances with hospitals, financial debt, etc.- PARLN is available to help.

PARNL also negotiates on your behalf to improve your contract, salaries and other benefits through your collective agreeement. As the collective agreement between PARNL and the provincial government governs your salary, all correspondence from the PGME office addressed to the Eastern Health Authority, as your paymaster, will be copied to PARNL.

All residents enrolled in Postgraduate Medical Education at Memorial University receive the following salary in accordance with the appointed level of training:
