Foundations Idea Incubator

The League of Innovators Foundations Idea Incubator program is delivered as a free 8-week virtual course to support young people in bringing their startup concepts from idea to MVP with content, coaching, and a national community of young entrepreneurs to support you with what you need to build. Open to any young person under 25 ready to learn and build.

Innovators Academy
Innovators Academy is an online platform with content and resources on topics related to entrepreneurship, innovation, change-making and personal development. The platform is designed for curious youth for self-directed learning and for educators to use in their classrooms. All content is free to use and suitable for anyone at any stage of their entrepreneurial journey!

Path2Innovation (P2I)

Path2Innovation (P2I) is a three-day program, taking place January 25-27, 2021. It explores the value of entrepreneurial thinking as a means of developing careers and research of leading graduate students, post-docs and faculty, and also advancing their research, innovations and ideas into impacts, whether that be scientific, economic, social, cultural or environmental.

TELUS Innovation Challenge

Calling all Canadian students with an interest in entrepreneurship, engineering innovation, and product design! The Schulich School of Engineering is excited to announce that the first TELUS Innovation Challenge, a one-of-a-kind national event designed to bring Canadian innovations to market, will be held on Feb. 16 to 19, 2021.

Rice Business Plan Competition
Deadline: Feb 2, 2021
The Rice Business Plan Competition is the world’s richest and largest graduate-level student startup competition. It is hosted and organized by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship and the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business. The competition is designed to give collegiate entrepreneurs a real-world experience to fine-tune their business plans and elevator pitches to generate funding to successfully commercialize their product.

Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) and Most VC-Backable Search
Deadline: Rolling
VCIC is not a pitch contest! The core of the competition is six student VC teams competing to be the best VC firm. The Most VC-Backable Search is a competition within the competition: Three startups will be chosen as finalists for each region. The startup that gets the most term sheets will be crowned the “Most VC-Backbable” of the region and will receive an invitation to the VCIC Global Finals.

Investor Readiness Program
The National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) Investor Readiness Program for Early-Stage companies is designed to assist entrepreneurs to transform good ideas into great businesses. Participate in free workshops and Q&A sessions to develop your investment strategy and connect with angel investors. Applications for the 1-on-1 coaching sessions are now open for entrepreneurs in Atlantic Canada.
