Publish timely story items on your website with the News widget.

To add the News widget to your site, please submit your request through the Marketing Request for Services form.

Once the News widget is added to your site, you can begin adding stories to it. To do this:

First, click "Content".

Then, in the left side menu, click "News"

click the button "add news item"

complete the fields

click "submit news item"

Voila! Your story is published.

A few notes:

Photos in News stories

You can add a photo to your News story, but it will only appear in the body of the story and not on the main page of your site. When adding a photo, make sure it is a .jpeg or .jpg file.

As for the dimensions of photos in News stories, the image must have a minimum width of 800 pixels, but there are no constraints on the height of photo. We recommended the dimensions 800x600 for landscape photos. This size makes the photo appear proportionally in a way that does not impede the text of your story.

Adding other unit's News stories to your News widget:

You can borrow news items from other units by navigating to "News" and then click "Add other unit's news item." To do this:

Click on "News", then "Add Other Unit's News Item"

Select a unit from the drop down menu

click the add icon to the right of a story

When you do this, the news item you select will display in your news tool.

Note however, the release dates are controlled by the author.
