Labrador Lands and Waters Science Camp

The Labrador Lands and Waters Science Camp is a week-long science summer camp, that was held from during July 2018 and July 2o19, based in North West River, Labrador. The camp was open to Innu and Inuit Labrador youth entering into grades 9 to 11 in September.

The science camp was developed in partnership with the Labrador Institute of Memorial University, the Nunatsiavut Government, the NunatuKavut Community Council, the Innu Nation, and the Torngat Wildlife, Plants, and Fisheries Secretariat. It offered a hands-on science training experience with half-day activities in various topics as well as exploring traditional knowledge.
