Career Preparation Programs
Memorial University offers a number of career-related programs that can help you improve your knowledge of the Canadian job market and prepare you for a successful career. The programs and events listed below are offered by the Internationalization Office in partnership with other units to help you enhance your skills, practice networking, and prepare for your job search and career exploration.
Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP) - Winter 2022 registration now open
Are you an international student interested in professional and personal development? Consider joining the Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP) where you will develop the skills needed to succeed in the Canadian job market.
This 6 week program with have two iterations and cover the following topics:
• Introduction and Skills identification.
• Resume and Cover Letter writing
• Career Exploration
• Job searching and Networking
• Interview Skills
• Workplace Etiquette and cultural communication.
Selected students will also get the opportunity to participate in an employment opportunity with a local company, in order to get practical work experience. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, register here

Entrepreneurship Training Program (ETP)
This program is for full-time graduate students who are interested in starting a business and learning the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Over a 16-week period, a series of interactive presentations and workshops are delivered by award-winning entrepreneurs and faculty that give you the core skills you need to enter the exciting world of entrepreneurship.
