Thank you for choosing Memorial University of Newfoundland. Over the next several pages, we will help guide you through some of the steps required to travel to Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador. 

A great deal of information has changed throughout the course of the pandemic, so please refer back to this site often to confirm if things have changed or not. Students should also refer to the MUN COVID-19 page for students.

International Students - Fall 2022 Arrivals

We will be accepting Fall arrivals form submissions as of July 12, 2022 (when Fall course registration opens).

Arrivals Process Timeline

 

In order to help your planning to come to or return to Newfoundland and Labrador, it is important to consider the planning timeline.

Below is an estimate of the time each step may take:

You complete and submit an Arrival Form.

You receive an email from selfisolation@mun.ca confirming receipt of the form and requesting for your travel plans.

You prepare and submit your full flight itinerary and address where you will be staying upon arrival.

Travel Confirmation Email issued

+1-2 days

You submit your travel information via ArriveCAN (within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada)


Based on the estimated time frames in the table, it is therefore recommended that you submit an Arrival Form around 7 business days (one week) ahead of your intended arrival time.
