Community Research Engagement Award

Research within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Memorial University often takes place on site in communities across Newfoundland and Labrador. Without the assistance of these communitiesd, much of our research simply would not happen. To recognize the crucial role these communities play and the debt we owe them, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences established the Newfoundland and Labrador Community Research Engagement Award in 2013.

It recognizes a community or place within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador which has been an instrumental partner in research completed by an Humanities and Social Sciences faculty member(s) and/or graduate student. The research must have taken place within the last five years and have made a positive difference in the community.

All current faculty members and graduate students currently engaged in full time research are eligible to nominate a community.

Nominations for the 2018 Newfoundland and Labrador Community Research Engagement Award can be forwarded to hss@mun.ca. The deadline is February 28, 2018.
