Utilizing Leave Benefits During Covid-19

Self-care should always be a priority, but during a pandemic it is critical.

Employee well-being is our priority. Employees are reminded to use their leave benefits in accordance with their respective collective agreement and the Leave Administration policy.

In planning annual leave, staff should be mindful of their leave carry over limits and consider operational requirements and their normal work flow. Travel plans may not be what we expected this year, but everyone still needs a break. Work with your supervisor to schedule time off and take your annual leave. Also, if you are sick or need to attend to the needs of a family member, you should access the leave available to you.

You can review your leave balances and access leave forms in the Employee section of the my.mun.ca portal. Please discuss any leave concerns with your supervisor.
