When I spoke to the students at Stella Maris Academy in Trepassey, NL in 2006, I had no idea that that engagement would lead me to over 70 schools visits in three different countries and five provinces. My educational outreach program has encouraged over 36,000 youth to have Big Dreams and Big Goals and to become more physically active.

I am currently visiting Grade Four and Grade Five classrooms as part of the new provincial Explorers Social Studies Curriculum. Sharing stories and pictures, I bring their studies to life with nearly every child raising her or his hand to ask a question at the end of the presentation. As part of my past Everest climbs, I developed a climbing-themed physical activity curriculum for use in schools and community programs.
