Dr. Tom Cooper is an Associate Professor in the Fac- ulty of Business Administration at Memorial University. His research interests include Aboriginal business, risk management and strategic planning. He has published his research in a number of peer-reviewed journals including Relations industrielles/Industrial Relations, Community Work and Family, the Journal of Enterprising Commu- nities as well as Greener Management International: The Journal of Corporate Environmental Strategy and Prac- tice. Tom has spoken at international, national and local conferences. Aside from a number of research awards, he was the recipient of Memorial University’s President’s Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2013. He currently has funded research exploring water quality in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Entitled “Exploring appro- priate business models for establishment of water quality monitoring service in Newfoundland and Labrador” the project is funded by the Harris Centre and MITACS. His research has also been funded in the past by SSHRC, the Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs, the Har- ris Centre at Memorial University as well as Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador.
