The Maltings
Formerly used for drying grain, this four-storey, converted 19th century maltings, is now fully modernized and houses the main offices and also where you'll find:
Portals Dining Room: Offering a quality, varied menu every weekday.
Common Room: A large, comfortable, shared room for relaxation featuring TV, DVD, hi-fi and piano.
Laundry Room: Providing front-loading, coin-operated washing machines and dryers at a cost of £2.00 per wash and £1.50 per dry. Also available are irons, ironing boards and washing powder for purchase.
Student kitchens: The Maltings offers two fully equipped student kitchens providing food storage, cooking facilities and a small dining area.
Resources Room: Houses the library and small computer suite. The room features a quiet space containing study cubicles and comfortable seating. The library divides this quiet area from the computer section with eight desktop computers and a printer. Harlow has wireless access available throughout the Campus.
Bedroom arrangements are as follows:
- 20 twin bedrooms with en-suite shower and toilets (rooms are convertible to single), which include 6 large twin rooms at approx. 230 sq ft and 14 standard twin rooms at approx. 160 sq ft.
- 1 purpose-designed wheelchair-accessible bedroom with en-suite shower, toilet, telephone and computer point
