Dan Morrison

Dan Morrison of Plaster, or North Shore, Cape Breton, was a well-known local singer and long-time member of the group, the North Shore Gaelic Singers. He was known in the community as "Montana Dan," having spent many years as a sheep farmer in Montana. It is said that, in addition to his vast repertoire of Gaelic songs, he had a great knowledge of Montana songs, which he acquired from other workers on the sheep farm. He was also known as Dan "Tusk." The reason for this naming is not known.
