Alexander Kerr

Mr. Kerr lived all of his life in North River on the North Shore of Cape Breton. He is remembered for his composition of songs and long-time presence in the North Shore Gaelic Singers. His family emigrated from the Island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides in the early 19th century. One of the North Shore's finest Gaelic singers, he possessed a powerful voice and a vast repertoire of songs.
