Graduate students who were required to submit a proof of English language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, CAEL, etc.) must complete an online English Placement Test (EPT). The test must be completed online anytime from December 1 – December 24, 2018. Return to this page December 1- 24, 2018 to view and complete the online test via the online learning management system D2L (Brightspace). If you have already set up a MUN login ID you can go directly to Brightspace at online.mun.ca to find the “EPT” and complete the test. If you have not set up your MUN login, you need to go to my.mun.ca and click on the "Create account" option on that log in page. You can follow through the steps to create your account, which requires your student number and some personal information. This will give you your MUN login ID and allow you to create a password. Once you have your account set up, you can go to online.mun.ca and log in to Brightspace with those credentials to click on and complete the EPT.

The test will take 30 minutes. The results of the EPT will be posted on your personal D2L page via a message on or before January 4, 2019. When you get the results, register for the course in which you have been placed by sending an email January 5 - January 10, 2019 with your full name and student number to eslprogram@mun.ca. Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. Emails requesting registration will be addressed in the order they are received. For more information, please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) below.
