Virtual Winter Engineering Club (February 2021) - FULL

A great way to add some excitement to your Saturday mornings! This year, our winter engineering club will welcome youth ages 12-15 to take part in sessions stretched out over 3 Saturdays in February. Participants will require access to a device with an internet connection and the ability to stream live meetings and a series of synchronous and asynchronous online sessions. Topics will include design challenges, coding, electricty, forces and more! There is no fee for this program but spaces will be limited.  Registration will open on January 14 at 10:00am.

Virtual Go CODE Girl - February 27, 2021

A free annual event organized in partnership with the Ontario Network of Women in Engineering.  Go CODE Girl offers girls in grades 7-10 the chance to learn more about coding and digital literacy skills through a hands-on activities, enlightening information sessions and opportunities to connect with female engineering role models. This event will be held virtually this year, participants will need to have access to a computer with an internet connection and the ability to take part in live, virtual sessions. Parents and Guardians are welcome to join in as well to learn about Memorial's highly acclaimed engineering cooperative education program and the many opportunities that are available in the tech field.  Online registration will be available as details are finalized, check back soon for details!

Afterschool STEAM (March 2021) (FULL)

Looking for a way to add some extra fun and learning to your child's afternoon? This virtual program for 9-11 year olds offers a 60 minute session for four consecutive Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:30.  Our team of instructors will lead the group through some cool demonstrations, neat activities, exciting design challenges and introduce them to some inspiring engineering mentors.  Access to a device with an internet connection, webcam and microphone will be required. This is a free program, spaces will be limited.  Registration will open on February 24.

Green Solutions - March 15, 2021

We are going a little green for St. Patrick's Day!  Our team of outreach mentors have created some fun activities centered around topics such as climate change, sustainability and environmental protection.  This will be a free virtual event, a device with access to the internet will be required.  The workshop is for youth ages 12-15 and will run from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, March 15.  Some supplies may be required from home, a list will be shared with all families that register.  Registration details coming soon!
