Memorial offers applied economics courses in a wide variety of areas, including fishery, petroleum and mining, forestry, environmental, development, international, monetary, public sector, welfare, labour and health economics.

Students who study economics at Memorial can choose to complete the major as part of a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree and may choose to complete the Economics Co-operative Education Option (ECEO).
