About The Centre
The Centre for Language Testing and Certification (DELF Centre) is an accredited examination centre for the DELF. The activities of the centre include DELF/DALF examination administration, test preparation courses and professional development opportunities for teachers of French as a second language.
The Centre for Language Testing and certification (DELF Centre) is an initiative of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. Memorial University has received funding for the DELF Centre project from the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Agreement on Minority Language Education and Second Official Language Instruction.
The Centre has a network of certified DELF DALF examiners who work with the Centre to offer the DELF examination sessions as they are scheduled on the Canadian calendar. This includes the DELF Tout Public and the DELF Scolaire/Junior. All examination sessions are open to the general public as well as to students.
The Centre provides opportunities for French second language educators to become certified examiners/markers of the DELF.
Professional learning sessions on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) are also available through the Centre.
