The CREAIT Information Systems Group (CREAIT-ISG) is a division in the CREAIT Network organized under the department of CREAIT, CRC and CFI Services (CCCS). We provide scientific instrument computing and research application support across all CREAIT Network laboratory operations. CREAIT-ISG supports approximately 700 faculty, staff and graduate students as well as the IT infrastructure managed across CREAIT satellite laboratories. A significant focus of our activities centres around providing information technology support for CFI based project applications, research projects in Geophysics, Genomics, Ocean Sciences and Chemistry. CREAIT-ISG is responsible for approximately 40 servers and over 60 highly specialized instrument systems. We house approximately 300 TB of data space and manage a multi-node VMWare Vshpere virtualization platform, located in our data centre facility.

 

CREAIT-ISG also provides system administration support and colocation for an interdisciplinary 19 Tflop HPC system with a focus on the Geophysics discipline in Earth Sciences.
