Sub-policy for the Return and Publication of CEQ Reports

Approved by the Senate Committee on Course Evaluation November 2014

This sub-policy applies to all courses evaluated with the CEQ. The existing sub-policy has been in place since 2004, with an update in 2013 to reflect the policy change around the definition of CEQ-mandated. The current version of the sub-policy was revised by the Senate Committee on Course Evaluation (SCCE) in November 2014 to further include response rate criteria.

For CEQ mandated courses, as defined by Senate policies and procedures, aggregate statistics and publication apply according to those policies and procedures. This sub-policy further directs on the reporting and dissemination of results based on enrolment and respondent combinations, as outlined in the following table.

The policies and procedures for course evaluation do not mandate the use of the CEQ for courses of the following types, and if the CEQ is used to evaluate these courses the results are not included in aggregate statistics or published:

  • Courses with enrolment less than 5
  • Team-taught courses.
  • Non-degree-credit courses.
  • Modularized courses or courses offered outside of the normal time frame for a semester or session, as defined by the University Calendar.
