March 27, 2021 information.

Contact and Volunteer information are listed below.

CAMPUS FOOD BANK DETAILS: Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and MUN's cancellation of in-class teaching, the Campus Food Bank will be offering a delivery service ONLY.  As client needs may change from month to month, there's not an automatic sign-up for an extended period. Any month that a hamper is needed, a request must be made for it.Click here for details.

If you are a MUN student experiencing financial stress due to COVID-19 circumstances, the following is a list of sources of support, including local food bank contacts. These are provided for your information, but the Campus Food Bank is not directly connected to any of them.

Undergraduate Students – If you are experiencing significant financial distress you may contact the Student Support Office at studentsupport@mun.ca.

Graduate Students – If you are experiencing significant financial distress you may contact the School of Graduate Studies at sgs@mun.ca.

Contact information from Food First NL for other food banks which may be open at this time. Please note this information is being updated on an ongoing basis, so check directly with any site before going there. Click here.

The Campus Food Bank is located in room CA1000 of  the Global Learning Centre (formerly Corte Real) building, Burton's Pond Apartments, on Memorial University's St. John's Campus. The first floor of our building was renumbered in 2019 but we are in the same room as always.  We are in Building 40B on this campus map.

Our phone number is 864-3467. Our e-mail address is foodbank@mun.ca.  We are staffed part-time by volunteers, so it may take a day or two to get an answer to your contact. You may find email gets a quicker response.

Our mailing address for off campus folks is as follows.  On campus donors can use internal mail, just use the first line here.

Campus Food Bank
Memorial University
St. John's, NL, A1C 5S7  Note: this address is new as of Sept 30, 2020. Our old address should not be used anymore. It will work, but mail is delayed getting to us.

If you wish to volunteer with the Campus Food Bank, we have an online application form here.  Our volunteer coordinator will contact you to let you know your application status.  During COVID-19 as we do not have open hours our need for volunteers has been greatly reduced and is currently limited to delivery drivers for hampers.
