Sunday Bird Walks

Black & White Warbler in a tree

PLEASE NOTE: All of our events are currently on hold due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We will make an announcement when we are able to resume our events.

Once we are able to resume...

Take a guided walk on the Gardens' nature trails with a Friend of the Garden volunteer and learn about Newfoundland birds. Bird watching sessions start at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, May - September & 9 a.m. in October.

Please meet in the parking lot across the road from the main gate. The group leaves promptly on time, so please be there a few minutes early. Binoculars are helpful, and comfortable footwear is essential. Walks usually last 1.5 - 2 hours. Newcomers are welcome.

This program is offered by volunteers. Please check if the program is going ahead by calling the Garden the day before the program at 864-8590 (between 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. or 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sept. & Oct.). There is no fee to go on this guided walk.

2019 Guided Walks will start on 5th May and continue every week until June 2rd, then every second week until the end of October.
