Distribution of four genetically-related clades on the island of Newfoundland.
Pie diagrams show the relative frequencies of each clade in 14 Wildlife Management Units (WMUs). Note that Clade A is confined to three WMUs in the west of the Island, Clade B shows a gradient from northwest to southeast, Clade C is absent from the southeast except on Merasheen Island, which was introduced from Buchans, and that the Avalon Peninsula in the extreme southeast is fixed for Clade D.
