Distribution of mtDNA genotypes in Pine Marten (Martes)

The distribution of two distinct clades of mtDNA cytochrome b sequences in Pine Marten corresponds to the distribution of two subspecies groups that were formerly recognized as morphologically distinct species, Martes americana (closed circles) and Martes caurina (open circles).
