Eozostrodon (Morganucodontiade) is an extinct Triassic mammal that superficially resembles a modern shrew. However, its dentition is immediately recognizable as distinct from any living mammal. Eozostrodon is typical of the group that subsequently gave rise to living placental and marsupial mammals.
