Ah, summer. The whales are jumpin’ and the livin’ is easier than usual. Yesterday at Cape Spear I felt as if I really were inhabiting a NL tourism commercial. The sky was cloudless, the winds were at rest, and we counted at least two dozen whales feeding and frolicking. The air was so still you could hear them blowing way ashore. Sometimes it’s so good here you just could not imagine living anywhere else.
I’m not going to spoil a midsummer blog with exposition about budgets or academic problems, or even deep thoughts about the future. Hope everyone is enjoying the good life.
