Overview of 2016 provincial budget related to Memorial and post-secondary education
Thursday, April 14, 2016
President Gary Kachanoski says that the work to analyze the full impact of today’s provincial budget on Memorial University has already begun. This is in addition to some of last year’s budget impacts, which will have significant implications in the current year.
“The university’s budget is complex and it is important to take some time to analyze both the details of our budget allocation as well as other Budget 2016 decisions to determine the impacts,” said Dr. Kachanoski. “Following extensive consultations with the university community, including in particular the Senate Planning and Budget Committee, a proposal will be developed to present to the Board of Regents for approval at its May meeting.”
Updates will be provided to the university community as the budget planning process unfolds.
