Paton College in Winter

Student Residences

At Memorial, living on campus is about more than having a convenient place to eat, sleep and study. Living on campus is about exploring new ideas, making new friends and learning more about the world around you and how you fit into it. Students living in residence have access to a wide variety of services and are encouraged to get involved in campus life, whether that’s through our residence societies or one of our many other campus clubs and societies.

Students living on campus are supported by our team of Residence Life staff, providing support and guidance that ensures your residence experience will be enjoyable and educational. There are live-in staff in each of our residences, with academic support and free tutoring provided in our residence learning commons.

Accommodations are available in three communities: Paton College, Macpherson College and Burton's Pond Apartments.

Paton College

Paton College consists of nine “residence hall” style houses arranged around a courtyard and adjacent to the campus dining hall. The houses are co-ed and home to approximately 100 students each. Rooms are mostly double occupancy, with shared washroom facilities in each wing. In each house you will find a TV room, small kitchen, study rooms and lounges. Each Paton College residence is managed by a Residence Coordinator and staffed with four Resident Assistants. The Residence Life staff provides a high level of support and guidance that makes Paton College the ideal environment for first-year students.
