Newfoundland and Labrador's rugged terrain, amazing vistas and sprawling coastline make it unique, to say the least.
The people here are as unique as the terrain. The proud self-expression, the kindness, the humour, the character. The refreshing approach to life. All in a place so rich in history, its fossils date back half a billion years.

As one of Atlantic Canada's largest universities, Memorial offers more than 100 degree programs to a student population of more than 18,000. Students can expand their horizons at any one of our four campuses:
In the capital city, the St. John’s campus, with more than 14,000 students, is large, comprehensive and cosmopolitan, offering a multitude of programs – everything from medicine, engineering and business to kinesiology, music and social work.
The Grenfell Campus of Memorial University is located in Corner Brook, an outdoor adventurer’s paradise with world class skiing and hiking at your fingertips. With just over 1,300 students, Grenfell is considered more of a home than an institution. Grenfell offers many liberal arts and science programs and although well known for its fine arts programs, there’s an increasing focus on the environment and sustainability.
The Marine Institute, also in St. John’s, is an intimate campus offering career focused and cutting edge programs as the bachelor of maritime studies in marine engineering technology or the joint diploma/bachelor of technology in underwater vehicles.
Our campus in Harlow, England, is a vital part of many of the degree programs offered at Memorial University. Grenfell’s fine arts and Memorial’s English literature and landscape programs, for instance, use the campus as home base as students broaden their horizons in British galleries, theatres and museums for a semester. Visit www.mun.ca/harlow for more information on our campus in Harlow, England.
