Required Subject Areas

  1. English
  2. Mathematics*
  3. Laboratory Science* (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  4. Social Studies or Modern/Classical Language
  5. Elective

*Students who are missing an eligible mathematics or laboratory science course, who apply for admission to a program that does not require completion of these courses, will be considered for general admission. In this case, an eligible course in subject groups 1 to 4 may be used to substitute the missing course. Students who are missing eligible courses in two subject areas should contact international_registrar@mun.ca.

 

General Admission Criteria

Admission average
  • Minimum grade of 4 in the required subject areas.
English proficiency
  • Further proof of English language proficiency is normally not required. Please refer to the University Calendar for further details.
Competitive program entry (if applicable)
  • Admission to some programs is competitive for a limited number of spaces. A higher admission average and/or supplementary information may be required as part of the faculty-specific admissions. For further details, refer to the supplementary application forms and documents page.

 

Supporting Documents Required

If you are currently in high school

When you apply (early decision)
  • Current, interim high school transcript. This transcript can be official (submitted directly from your school) or unofficial (submitted by you).
  • Supplementary application form and documents for your faculty, school or program.
When you complete your examinations (final decision)
  • Official School Certificate. This should sent by post or courier directly from the Examinations Council of Zambia or sent by you in an envelope that has been officially sealed by the Examinations Council of Zambia.

 

If you have completed high school and not attended a post-secondary institution

  • Official School Certificate. This should be sent by post or courier directly from the Examinations Council of Zambia or sent by you in an envelope that has been officially sealed by the Examinations Council of Zambia.
  • Supplementary application form and documents for your faculty, school or program.

 

If you have attended a post-secondary institution
