Hailing from Cape Broyle, the Southern Shore Queen, Kim is proud of her Irish Heritage and is known to sing a little ditty and dance a jig on occasion. Kim has worked at Memorial University for 16 years and has experience in the areas of residence life, student orientation, leadership programs, career development, and experiential learning. Kim is a proud 3-time Memorial alumni having earned a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Education with a specialization in student services. In completing her graduate studies, Kim conducted research in the areas of student life, internationalization, student involvement, experiential learning and service-learning and is proud to be a Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies.

In her role as student services coordinator for the BSW program, Kim helps recruit suitable applicants and works with BSW students, staff and faculty to promote a safe and healthy learning environment which facilitates student success. She welcomes questions about the BSW program and the profession of social work.

Kim has a passion for student services and says that the best part of her job is working with students. Students and colleagues have nominated her for a variety of awards which she has been the recipient of, including:
