Social Work Education

This course focuses on the scholar obtaining an in-depth appreciation of the process of social work education within the context of teaching in a professional program.

The scholar will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of adult education principles as they apply to preparation that includes knowledge, skills, competence, values, ethics, and critical thinking within a practice context.

The scholar will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and skills associated with effective teaching in:

  • the practice of social work with reference to one or more of individual, family, group, organization, community, or social planning practice

or

  • social work research.

Prerequisites: SCWK 7010 & SCWK 7020
