Graduate Assistant in Sociology
As required by the TAUMUN agreement Clause 12.09, the Department of Sociology wishes to announce the availability of one or more GA units for the fall semester 2012. The appointment will commence on September 24, 2012 and will terminate on December 14, 2012. The GA unit is 56 hours per semester at the standard GA rate of $21.15 per hour (vacation pay included).
The specific duties will include any of the following: teaching assistance, grading, invigilating exams, meeting students, taking seminars, showing videos, as well as other duties described by the supervisor.
The requirements for the position are knowledge of sociology sufficient to enable the person to perform the duties described as demonstrated by the completion of graduate level courses in sociology and excellent written communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants with previous GA experience.
