Kevin Bell

As skipper of Tiglax, Kevin made landings on Sirius Point possible during 2000-2006. Kevin passed away January 7, 2008.

 

Alex Bond

Alex began studies of auklet demography and trophic interactions for his PhD project based at Memorial University in 2007.

Johanne Dussureault

In 2001, Johanne Dussureault (Memorial University Research Assistant) helped set up the original Kiska auklet productivity monitoring plots. She returned to carry out the survival and productivity monitoring in 2004. In 2006 she returned again to assist with early season work at Sirius Point.

 

 

 

Steve Ebbert

Steve has helped out with the Sirius Point camp setup and departure activities in every year. He has provided sage advice and interpretation of data throughout the study.

 

 

 

Peter Dunlevy

Peter helped organize the 2004 early season rat study and provided reams of useful advise and comment on Kiska rat issues during 2003-2006

Cari studied auklets and rats for her MSc project at Memorial University and led auklet productivity and survival monitoring in 2005 and 2006.

Ian (Memorial University Professor of Biology) first visited Sirius Point in 1996, beginning an obsession with the relationship between rats and auklets at Kiska that included extensive fieldwork in 2001-2003 and 2007, and short visits in 2004-2006.

Art, together with Mark Rauzon, initiated the current project with a two week research expedition to Sirius Point in 2000. For many years, Art has been the intellectual and spiritual leader of research and education about rat impacts on seabirds in Alaska.
