Program of Study: Bachelor of Engineering
Margaret (Molly) Noseworthy, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, is a committed, passionate leader in both her academic and personal lives. Her commitment and enthusiasm for education have resulted in her being placed consistently at, or near, the top of her class.
Molly’s time at Memorial has seen her become a leader within her class. She has served as a Councillor at Large with the Grenfell Campus Student Union and is currently the Civil 2018 Class Representative. Furthermore, she has represented Memorial University at the American Concrete Institute Mortar Workability Competition in 2016 placing very well in a strong field of international competitors. Molly has also successfully maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout the course of her undergraduate studies and been named to the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science Dean’s List annually since joining the faculty in 2014.
Molly’s post-secondary success extends far beyond her time in the classroom. Molly has been a volunteer with Together by Design, a not-for-profit organization that focuses on disaster relief and provides support to new Canadians. She has been working with this organization to rebuild homes in New Orleans, putting her engineering skills to use helping a community that is still rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina. She also works with the organization to help provide space for language training to newly arriving refugees.
Through her undergraduate studies, Molly has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards. Some of the awards and scholarships that Molly have received to date include:

- Orvil Olsen Biology Prize - Top Biology Student (2013)

- Dalhousie Presidents Scholarship (2012)
- Bronze, Silver and Gold (Pending) Duke of Edinburgh Award
Molly is noted for being an excellent all-around student and community member. Molly’s determination and work ethic have allowed her to excel at Memorial and serve as a role model for other students.
