Patenting and Commercialization
The knowledge generated through research can have significant potential for commercialization.
Memorial University has a system in place to support researchers as they navigate the commercialization process and engage with industry partners. The Office of the Vice-President (Research) has specialized staff who support faculty, students and staff engaged in research, development and outreach.
The Innovation and Industry Liaison Office is responsible for protecting and commercializing the intellectual property of researchers at Memorial. The office staff can help researchers protect their intellectual property, partner with an industry collaborator and bring their ideas to market.
