Office of Research Services

Memorial's Office of Research Services is a service unit that acts as a liaison with various funding organizations. The Office of Research Services supports the efforts of the research community at Memorial University to secure external funding for research and the training of graduate students in compliance with the scholarly, ethical and administrative standards of our research sponsors (e.g. the Tri-Agency).

The Office of Research Services works in parallel with the Office of Collaborations and Partnerships towards supporting grants and contracts administration at Memorial. In the 2011-2012 fiscal year, the combined efforts of these offices supported ~$110 million in research grants and contracts representing ~1,500 research projects.

The office also keeps track of deadlines and application policies for approximately 500 funding programs from more than 150 agencies and organizations. Currently available funding opportunities can be viewed in the Funding Opportunites Database. Researchers must submit all funding applications for review and institutional signature. Internal deadlines apply.
