Dr. Tim Strand
Dr. Tim Strand came to Memorial University for a residency in obstetrics and gynecology because he wanted to live someplace completely different from his home province of Alberta. He fell in love with the province and with Dr. Cliona McManamon, daughter of the late Dr. Patrick McManamon.
Dr. Strand did his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Alberta, graduating in 1997. Following his residency at Memorial, he worked for a year then spent a year at the University of Calgary for specialized training in urogynecology and pelvic floor reconstruction as well as laparoscopic gynecology.

He is also interested in quality of life measures after surgery, sexual function and pain issues after surgery and new procedures for incontinence including using transvaginal tape for treating incontinence.
