Welcome to the 2001 edition of the Research Directory, a listing of some of the research expertise available at Memorial University. The directory offers an overview of the diverse and exciting research activities going on at Memorial. Our researchers are involved in research in all disciplines and many have international reputations in their fields.
In addition to faculty members at the St. John's campus, the directory includes those in specialized research units as well as faculty members at the Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. The directory is organized by faculty, school or other unit, some of which are subdivided by departments or other divisions. Faculty members who hold joint or cross-appointments are listed under each appropriate unit.
The directory lists the research specialties of those faculty members who responded to our request for information along with their past, current and intended areas of research.
The main purpose of the directory is to provide a reference tool that allows interested parties -- whether at Memorial, in the Canadian private and public sectors, or in the international community -- to identify faculty members with particular research expertise or research interests.
