(Ober also visited Upper Sandusky where Winebrenner preached is last sermon. Also states Ober that he received the last letter Winebrenner ever wrote and he intended to publish it some day.)

V. 42, N. 17, P. 2. Oct. 24, 1877. Journal of the Twenty-first Annual Eldership of the Church of God in West Ohio. D. S. Warner answered roll call. He was appointed to the Obituary and Temperance Committees. A charge against Warner brought up in this Eldership. A special committee appointed to investigate. The committee reports: "Your committee find the charges have been sustained; further we recommend that his license be granted with certain restrictions: That he cease to spring this so called 'Holiness Alliance Band' or any other outside party he may stand connected with upon the Churches of God contrary to their wishes and the rules of co-operation." "Brother Warner agreed to comply with the request of the committee and received his license." D. S. Warner assigned to the Stark Circuit.

V. 42, N. 33, P. 3. Feb. 13, 1878. From Columbiana Mission, Ohio. J. B. Willaman preacher in charge. On the 28th of November we commenced a meeting in the town of Columbiana. Brother D. S. Warner and wife from Canton were with us. Brother Warner preached a number of sermons on Sanctification. Our little band at this place heard him gladly and quite a number entered into that perfect rest and are now carrying their banner high.
V. 42, N. 33, P. 3. Feb 13, 1878. From Findlay, Ohio. D. S. Warner reports Jan. 13, 1878. "The glorious work of salvation is still in progress here. Over eighty souls, mostly of the Church of God, have sought and experienced the blessing of perfect purity. The conversions are more clear and powerful than in ordinary protracted meeting, and yet the converts nearly all proceed at once to seek entire sanctification."
V. 42, N. 34, P. 2. Feb. 20, 1878. Report of West Ohio Standing Committee, Jan. 30, 1870. Charges against D. S. Warner that he had violated the agreement that was made at Eldership; therefore, his licenses are suspended. [7]
