The Atlantic Canada Venture Gateway (ACVG) is an outreach initiative of Memorial University of Newfoundland's Faculty of Business Administration. ACVG prepares Atlantic Canadian technology firms to attract venture capital and private equity and assists companies in securing the investment they need to realize their growth potential.

Clients of ACVG are exceptional entrepreneurs committed to developing or expanding industry-leading companies in the Atlantic region. ACVG works alongside clients and positions them to attract investment partners who share in this commitment. ACVG provides insight and strategic support through its investment readiness and investor partnering services:

  • An Investment Readiness Program that helps entrepreneurs address fundamental gaps in their companies and positions them to approach investors. This program entails the provision of individualized mentoring and advisory services provided by ACVG personnel, the retention of specialized consultants to work with clients, and the delivery of targeted workshops and seminars.

  • An Investor Partnering Program that provides qualified firms with access to ACVG strategic partners and investors in selected markets, and complementary consulting and advisory services to assist entrepreneurs in securing deals.

ACVG's strength lies in the strength of its partnerships. As a part of Memorial University of Newfoundland, ACVG is able to draw upon expertise from a wide network of alumni, strategic partners and industry experts to help its clients fulfill their goals.

ACVG is located on the fourth floor of the Faculty of Business Administration alongside the Gardiner Centre. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Atlantic Canada Venture Gateway by telephone at (709) 864-4088 or through the website at
