Sir Wilfred Grenfell College

FORESTRY

The Forestry Curriculum at Memorial University has been governed for a number of years by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the University of New Brunswick and Memorial University of Newfoundland. This MOU has recently expired, and the decision has been made to transfer this programme to the SWGC campus. A new MOU between Sir Wilfred Grenfell College and UNB is now in place. Commencing September 1996, students entering the first year of Forestry will do so at the SWGC campus. For specific information about this programme, contact the College Registrar, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, Corner Brook, Nfld. A2H 6P9.

Those students who have completed some of the required courses may be able to complete a preparation programme at the St. John's campus of MUN during the 1996-97 academic year which will enable them to enter the programme at UNB in the Fall of 1997. No further Forestry courses will be offered in St. John's after the 1996-97 year. For more details, students are referred to pages 338-339 of the current university calendar.

In order to be considered for continuation to the second year of the forestry programme at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in 1997, students must have completed ten courses including the following:

Biology 1001, 1002
Chemistry 1200, 1001 (or equivalent)
Mathematics 1000 or Mathematics 1080 and Mathematics 1081
