Memorial's Public Engagement Resources

NLCAHR’s Contextualized Health Research Synthesis (CHRSP) is a program working with researchers, decision makers, health economists, experts in research synthesis, and subject experts to identify the health research issues that are of most pressing interest to Newfoundland and Labrador. The program uses this model to ensure adequate input and engagement from their various stakeholders involved. The model includes plenty of ideas that could be applied to other researchers and units interested in undertaking publicly engaged research.

Yaffle.ca is Memorial’s online public engagement tool. Along with offering a listing of current and past research projects and expertise, it also facilitates community university partnerships by allowing the public to suggest research opportunities to Memorial, which are then brokered through the university to find a suitable partner.

The Office of Public Engagement has undertaken a scan of the public engagement practises of Canadian universities. Please email any updates or additions to rcohoe@mun.ca.
