Memorial begins search for vice-president of Grenfell Campus

Memorial University is searching for a candidate to fill a key leadership position at its Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook.

A search committee has been named to recruit the first vice-president (Corner Brook), formerly titled principal of Sir Wilfred Grenfell College.

The position has been filled in acting capacity by Dr. Holly Pike since early 2008.

Dr. Gary Kachanoski, Memorial’s new president, is chairing the committee, which includes faculty, staff and students.

To facilitate its work, the committee has contracted the services of Janet Wright and Associates, one of the country’s top higher education executive search firms.

The search will be extensive and is expected to continue into the late fall.
