Carved in stone
Marble sculptures will actually form right before the eyes of spectators during the Newfoundland Sculpture Symposium 2000, which took place at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. Gerard Kelly (left), sculpture technician at Grenfell College, displays the Celtic Cross he sculpted at the symposium; the cross will eventually be permanently affixed to his father's gravestone.
