Dawn of the INCA
A new research and training centre supporting the oil and gas industry opened June 19 in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University. The Instrumentation, Controls, and Automation Centre — or INCA — will train students and working professionals in the day-to-day operation of rigs and platforms; support research and analysis; and provide state-of-the-art contract servicing in a local context. Premier Brian Tobin places an axe in the jaws of a robot which then cut the ribbon to launch the INCA Centre.
