Budget blues
Federal Finance Minister Paul Martin made Sir Wilfred Grenfell College his last stop on his recent cross-Canada, post-budget tour. Mr. Martin addressed about 300 students and a number of staff and faculty in a crowded library lecture theatre March 16 before participating in a one-hour question and answer period. At the end of the Q and A, students from Grenfell's visual arts program presented the finance minister with two sculptures representing what they consider to be the cost of a university education — an arm and a leg.
