Hats off
Convocation is in full swing this week. Memorial's annual fall ritual will see Dr. Axel Meisen officially installed as president and vice chancellor and honorary degrees conferred upon Chawat Arthayukti, Donald F. Cook, John Kenneth Galbraith, James H. Rogers and David C. Ward. In addition, retired Memorial professor Dr. Henry Longerich will be honoured with the title professor emeritus. With about 600 graduate and undergraduate degrees to be awarded during two sessions of convocation, it's been a busy time for staff at University Relations. Helping out is student Amanda Mason, who's staffing the gown room and helping get everyone properly attired for the occasion.
