At its meeting held on October 11, 2017, Vice-Presidents Council approved proposals to revise the policies regarding Harlow Campus Funding and the Establishment of University Institutes and Centres

Animals on Campus and Accommodations for Students with Disabilities policy consultation

Memorial University is currently seeking feedback on a new University-wide Animals on Campus policy and a revised Accommodations for Students with Disabilities policy.

Building Access Control Proposal Approved

At its meeting held on August 8, 2017, Vice-Presidents Council approved the proposal to establish a new policy, Building Access Control.

At its meeting held on May 11, 2017, the Board of Regents approved the Tangible Asset Administrationpolicy. 

Information Technology Project Approval Policy Revision

At its meeting held on May 16, 2017, Vice-Presidents Council approved a proposal to revise the Information Technology Project Approval policy.  

Board of Regents approves new and revised policies

At its meeting held on May 11, 2017, the Board of Regents approved the adoption of a new Internal Audit policy and a revised Protected Disclosure policy both of which come into effect immediately.

Revised Single Email for Students and Employees Proposal Approved

At its meeting held on April 18, 2017, Vice-Presidents Council approved the proposal to revise the Single Email for Students and Employees policy.

Reminder - Revised Intellectual Property Consultation Coming to an End

Memorial University's Intellectual Property policy is currently being revised. In accordance with the University's policy framework processes, a draft of the policy revision is available for consultation.

Website supports new Information Management Policy

Information Management and Protection (IM&P) has launched its new website to provide resources and tools to help other Memorial University units follow best practices in managing and protecting their information. The IM&P website supports the university’s new Information Management Policy, which was approved by the Board of Regents July 7 and went into effect immediately. The policy provides direction on the management and protection of university records.

Board of Regents approves Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Employment policy

At a meeting held on February 4, 2016, the Board of Regents approved the adoption of a revised Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Employment (formerly Employment Equity) policy.

Diversity and inclusion dialogue series

Dr. Ailsa Craig will lead a discussion on Feb. 5, from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Junior Common Room, R. Gushue Hall, on how to create more welcoming and accessible environments for queer and transgendered populations.

Change to the Travel - General policy regarding air travel

Vice-Presidents Council has approved an incidental amendment to the Travel – General policy in the requirement of boarding passes as the sole document to support proof that travel by air occurred. 

Capital Projects (formerly Capital Projects - Major) policy

At a meeting held on December 3, 2015, the Board of Regents approved the adoption of a revised Capital Projects (formerly Capital Projects – Major) policy which came into effect immediately.

Memorial University is introducing two new university-wide policies for Travel Outside of Canada and Gift Acceptance. As well  the Board of Regents also approved incidental amendments to the Controlled Goods policy.

At its October 16, 2014 meeting, the Board of Regents approved the adoption of a revised Respectful Workplace policy and a new Compensation policy for Memorial University.
